You are now going to interview a grown up. It can be a relative or someone else you know. 


Here are questions that you are going to use:

A Place in the U.S

This is what you are going to do:
  1. Choose a place in the U.S
  2. Pretend that you have visited this place.
  3. Write a letter home to tell your friends or family what you have seen and learnt about the place.
  4. To be able to do this you search for facts on the Internet
  5. The letter has to be at least 300 words long. Remember to use your own words when you write the letter.
  6. Write down the pages you have used on the Internet at the end of the letter.
  7. Check your grammar, before you hand it in, with the help of the checklist on schoolsoft.

                                                      Tid: 4-6 veckor
Förankring i kursplanen - syftet med undervisningen
Genom undervisningen i ämnet engelska ska eleverna sammanfattningsvis ges förutsättningar att utveckla sin förmåga att:
  • Förstå och tolka innehållet i talad engelska och i olika slags texter,
  • Formulera sig och kommunicera i tal och skrift,
  • Använda språkliga strategier för att förstå och göra sig förstådda,

  • Se en geografi/historiefilm om New York.
  • Jobba med Life in the U.S  ex. Skolan, matkultur, every day life,
  • Se filmen Crash och diskutera samhällsfrågor i USA.
  • Spela in en ”teater” som visar upp något inom området vett och etikett  i USA ex. Table manners etc.
  • Jobba med vardagliga fraser och uttryck.
  • Öva på att analysera egna producerade texter med hjälp av grammatikregler.
  • Göra faktatext om ett valt område inom USA samt muntligt presentera denna på valfritt sett.

Bedömning
Muntliga, skriftliga uppgifter som testar reception (läs- och hörförståelse) samt produktion och interaktion (tala, skriva, samtala).
